  • LSI will either specify in advance the fees to be charged for a company's services in the form of a written quotation or apply a standard fee structure.

  • LSI will provide the client with all necessary intermediate information relating to the progress of operations. For inspection and supervision services, LSI's responsibilities are limited to observation and advice to clients of the conditions of materials and cargoes and relevant equipment including packing, strapping, containers and means of transportation. The LSI role does not absolve in any way the contractual obligations of the appropriate parties. • LSI will only undertake to provide proper supervision of weighing operations and cannot accept liability for resultant weights unless weighing equipment has been calibrated in the presence of LSI personnel.

  • For weight determination by draft survey, LSI will ensure that only qualified surveyors undertake the work. LSI reserves the right to either refuse to issue a draft survey weight or qualify the figure if either the vessel, weather conditions or vessel documents are unacceptable.

  • Clients must ensure that all relevant parties are made aware of the appointment of LSI as representative. In the event that, as a result of the client failing to provide such authority, LSI personnel are unable to gain access to port facilities warehouses, vessels or other critical locations, LSI shall be deemed to be indemnified from any liability resulting from occurrences that take place in the absence of the said LSI personnel.
